Ham, Potatoes & Green Beans

This has been around our house forever!  My mom made it when I was growing up and it was a fav of mine.  This is also one of my son's favs.  Easy, economical and tastes sooooo good--even better the next day!

Green Beans (canned--with water drained, fresh, frozen, freeze dried--they all work!  I use about twice the beans as the potatoes)

Potatoes (Twice the potatoes as ham.  Can use any potatoes--new potatoes whole, canned potatoes, fresh potatoes cut into about 1-1 1/2 " cubes even freeze dried potatoes)

Ham  (I often just buy the cubed ham--about a 1 lb package--this is a great way to use up the ham leftover from holiday meals too!)
(You can also add some garlic, butter, pepper, salt and anything else that adds to the savory taste but you really don't need anything)

Combine all ingredients along with a very small amount of water and simmer for an hour or until the potatoes are soft or cook all day in a crock pot. 

This is even better the next day!
